JACKSON, MS Mississippi News Now - 3-year-old King Knight has been found safe after the car he was in was stolen Monday afternoon . It started on Will-o-wood Boulevard in Jackson Monday morning just before noon. 3-year-old King Knight was in his mother's running silver Chevy Impala  when a 17-year-old acquaintance of the mother, who was in the car, suddenly took off. Sharon Knight was frantic on the phone, immediately afterward . "As soon as I was about to cross back over, the man screeched and pulled off," said Knight. Jackson police immediately put out a BOLO for the child and the car, frantically searching streets in south Jackson. After two hours, the car found abandoned at the Cypress Point apartments off Raymond Road. The 3-year-old found about a mile away.   He had been dropped off at a relatives home.   "We found the 3 year old boy as far as we know he is safe," said Chief Vance. "I just saw him. The Lygon Street watering hole is set be auctioned with vacant possession and is expected to fetch more than $3.5 million. A 31-year-old man who fatally shot another man in East Palo Alto after an argument over a woman in July 2015 was arraigned Thursday, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney 's Office. Freeman Owens III , is accused of killing 27-year-old Mark Anthony Jack on July 18, 2015, after an argument in an East Palo Alto apartment building . Owens was also charged for shooting another man's legs on April 25, 2015, prosecutors said. Owens, an East Palo Alto resident , was indicted by a grand jury on charges of murder, being a convict in possession of a narcotic drug or firearm, attempted murder and assault with a firearm, prosecutors said. The fatal shooting happened in July 2015 outside of the Light Tree Apartments at 1805 E. Bayshore Road around 10:10 p.m., police said at the time. MUNSTER — A 22-year-old man is accused of wounding his mother's boyfriend in a shooting Sunday night at the family's home in Griffith. Arlie O. Sanson Jr. was charged Monday in Lake Criminal Court with aggravated battery, battery by means of a deadly weapon and battery resulting in serious bodily injury, according to court records. The shooting occurred shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday at an apartment in the 1100 block of North Arbogast Street . Kalamazoo Public Safety responded to a report of a shooting at 3:51 a.m. They found a wounded victim lying on the ground near the complex. Lt. Anthony Morgan said the 25-year-old male was transported to Bronson Methodist Hosptial with life- threatening injuries early Sunday and is listed in serious condition. No information has been released on suspects. Rents are rising twice as fast as wages, hitting the city’s low-income earners the hardest, according to a report released today by the listing site StreetEasy . Asking rents went up by 33 percent city -wide from 2010 to 2017, or nearly 4 percent annually. Over the same period, median wages only increased 13 percent since 2010, or just under 2 percent annually. AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. - Kalispel Tribal and Airway Heights Police are conducting a homicide investigation after a man in an apartment complex confronted several people about being too loud in the parking lot. The argument quickly escalated into a deadly fight.  Officers were initially called to a fight between two men at an apartment complex near 9th and Hayford just before 6:00 a.m. Police say one person was possibly armed with a bat and when they arrived there was lots of yelling, several people running from the scene and one man lying on the ground injured, and another man unconscious.  Despite life-saving efforts, one man died at the scene.
