The Watermark at Trinity Hires Seasoned Memory Care Program Director
The Watermark at Trinity, an assisted living and memory care community in the Pasco County suburb of Trinity, has hired Shannon Morelli, RN, CDP, CADDCT, as memory care program director. Morelli has more than 16 years of experience in senior living, with an extensive knowledge of assisted living and memory care, hospital care, home health and hospice.
In this role, Morelli will be responsible for all aspects of the community’s memory care program, including care, services, dining, family communication and satisfaction, training, programming, and regulatory compliance.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Shannon to lead the team in our Memory Care Neighborhood,” said Aileen Carlson, executive director of The Watermark at Trinity. “It takes a uniquely qualified professional to direct a Watermark memory care program. Shannon is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and trainer and is a big-thinker who welcomes innovation. That’s important for our pioneering programs and unique way of doing memory care.”
Morelli is accustomed to Watermark’s visionary approach. Early in her career she served as Wellness Director and Independent Living Nurse at The Fountains at Boca Ciega Bay, The Watermark at Trinity’s sister community, located on the bay in St. Petersburg.
“Watermark is an incredible organization and I’m thrilled to be back,” said Morelli. “I’m looking forward to creating a vibrant program in the memory care neighborhood and becoming part of Watermark’s unique Naya caregiver program.”
Prior to joining The Watermark at Trinity, Morelli served as director of quality services at Watercrest Senior Living Group, where she guided her team in delivering high quality care and maintaining independence for residents.
