KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) - Overnight rains have led to historic flooding in portions of the Kansas City metro area .  Johnson County Emergency says businesses at 103rd and State Line were in danger in “becoming inundated” by Indian Creek. A flood warning was issued for Indian Creek. The Kansas City Police Department and Kansas City Fire Department will be going door-to-door around the area of Indian Creek from 103rd and State Line Road to Wornall Road, along with the area of 99th and Holmes.  Residents will be asked to voluntarily evacuate.  Indian Creek, in that area, is expected to crest at 28.6 feet, which is higher than July 27. It has already reached a record high of 18.3 feet. KCFD Chief Paul Berardi says emergency crews are working to rescue a woman trapped in a tree near 101st Street and Wornall Road. He says the woman is in a tree, surrounded by the rushing waters of Indian Creek and says crews are waiting for water to recede in order to safely rescue her. Fire crews...

× Suspects Arrested In Craigslist Armed Robbery Case Springdale police arrested two men they say robbed three people at gunpoint after posting Craigslist personal ads . Timothy Counts, 24, and Richard Rodriguez, 22, were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of aggravated robbery , theft by receiving, theft of property, promoting prostitution, breaking and entering and possession of drug paraphernalia. Two of the armed robberies occurred one week away from each other in late November at the same location, Springdale’s FoxFire Apartments. Police tracked the number used for the Craigslist personal ad exchanges to an apartment at the complex. Detectives searched the apartment and found items belonging to the victims. Police expect to make more arrests in the case, according to a statement released by the Springdale Police Department . In the three weeks since Samsung released the Galaxy Note7 phone there have been at least 35 reports around the world of the lithium- ion batteries exploding . In one instance, a Jeep caught fire after one Note7 user left his new phone inside to charge. Nathan Dornacher said, "That's the last thought in my head, is that a brand new device, something as simple as a phone is going to burn down my car ..." Last week airlines urged passengers to avoid charging their Galaxy note7 phones while on-board. Monday the FAA took it a step further, warning flyers not to turn on the Note7 phones wile on a plane.
