The Best Breakup Songs To Help You Move On, Based On Your Zodiac Sign

We can all agree that breakups are the worst. Maybe it was a short-lived relationship, or maybe you thought you found the one you thought you were going to spend forever with.

Either way, you had something and now it’s gone.

So, what’s the best way to get over a breakup? Maybe you think it’s watching romantic comedies or hosting a marathon of Nicholas Sparks movies until you’re all cried out. Some people try to keep themselves busy so that they don't have time to think about the breakup. Anything to keep the heartbreak away, right?

Personally, I think music is the answer to all of life’s problems. There is not a problem or a life event that hasn't been written about and put in a song. This is especially true for breakups. You can’t listen to the radio for 10 minutes without hearing a breakup song.

But not all breakup songs will bring you tears. A lot of them are empowering, telling you how you will be better off on your own and helping you move past all the sad stuff that accompanies heartbreak.

And the best part about music is that it’s everywhere and easily accessible. My personal favorite is to listen to music in the car. I’ll roll the windows down, blast a song of my choice, and sing at the top of my lungs. It’s pretty therapeutic, if I do say so myself.

Another favorite of mine is dressing up and heading out for a night with my friends. We’ll dance with each other, have a good time, and sing (or scream) the songs blasting through the speakers. Anything that has been bothering me is far away from my mind and I almost always feel better after a night like that.

Or you can close the door to your room and have the music playing low and soft in the background. Sometimes you don't need to scream a breakup song. Maybe you just need to listen to it and cry a bit. No matter how you choose to listen to music, it will make it all OK.
