Man found dead in Lago Del Mar Apartments

LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS/LPD) - On Thursday, Laredo police received a 911 call of a deceased person at the Lago Del Mar Apartments - located at 7550 Country Club Drive.

A maintenance employee said a foul odor was coming out of an apartment for the past three or four days. The manager instructed the employee to make contact with the renter/owner.

The employee entered the apartment, and discovered the body of Justin James Hunt, 33.

Investigators discovered a .45 caliber handgun on the victim's lap, and a gunshot wound to the right temple.

A medical examiner took custody of the body for an autopsy. The investigation is being treated as a suicide.

The case is still open, pending the results of the autopsy.

A man is found dead inside an apartment complex in North Laredo after neighbors report a foul smell from one of the buildings.

Laredo police were called to the Lago Del Mar Apartments around 2:00 pm on Thursday afternoon.

According to the call, a man in his 30's was found with a gunshot wound inside an apartment.

Neighbors reported on a foul smell for the past three days, when police were finally called.

An investigation is underway.
