La Mirage: hilltop site a few blocks from Qualcomm Stadium The Irvine Co. has bought an upscale apartment complex in Mission Valley — the company’s largest single-property acquisition of the year. The Newport Beach- based real estate investor and developer recently closed on the purchase of La Mirage, a 1,410- unit apartment complex just off Interstate 15. The 74- acre hilltop site is a few blocks from Qualcomm Stadium. La Mirage was bought from Chicago- based apartment owner Equity Residential . A sale price for the transaction, which was completed late last month, was not disclosed. The tab would come to about $ 350 million based on a per- apartment price of about $250,000 — the going rate for high- end rental properties in the region. That estimate would put the deal among the most expensive seen in San Diego this year. Dozens of posters, toys and trinkets adorn Anthony Anderson 's new studio apartment in Edina. Several of the items were given to him during his stay at a Minneapolis shelter . Anderson, now 22, kept track of how long he was homeless: three years and eight months. "Most of this is just donated stuff given to me," he said. "Whatever a person gives me, I don't complain, I just take it." One item does hold special meaning — a necklace with a small cross, hanging from the wall behind his bed. "That's the last thing I have from my grandmother," he said. "I always have it hanging above me, just to help me sleep." The construction activity isn 't surprising to David Wilson, who tracks dozens of apartment complexes with 60 or more units in the local market. "We've had few new construction starts the last few years," he said. "Things are ramping up after a lull." It helps that the Huntsville area has one of the healthier economies in the state and region, Wilson said. BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma - Construction continues on a new apartment complex-business center just off the Creek Turnpike in Broken Arrow. The complex is located near the Aspen exit, behind the Warren Theatre.   Osage SkyNews 6 HD flew over the construction project Wednesday . We've learned the complex will consist of 240 apartments, 20 of which will be luxury apartments.  Included in the project is a saltwater pool, gazebos, fireplaces and upscale work facilities as well as a business center. The Shops at Aspen Creek is slated to be completed sometime in 2017.

Residents on one stretch of Sepulveda Boulevard in North Hills will be getting hundreds of new neighbors in a few years, from a four- building apartment complex at the shuttered Green Arrow Nursery and Hardware site. The Los Angeles City Council this week signed off on the project at 8811 Sepulveda Blvd. The development at the 4.5-acre site is slated to include up to 364 residential units, accompanied by parking spaces for 557 cars and 405 bicycles. On the side facing Langdon Avenue Elementary School , the buildings will be between two- and three-stories tall, while the apartments will rise to six floors on the Sepulveda Boulevard side . Construction is set to begin at SunStone Apartment Homes at Fox Ridge Plaza , a 228-unit complex on Maize Road south of the southeast corner of 37th and Maize Road. This is the second SunStone apartment project for Vantage Point Properties president Paul Jackson . “They’ve been very well received in Andover,” Jackson says of the 208 units he built there last year.
