The New Hampshire Division of Historical Resources has announced that Nashua's St. Francis Xavier Church , Farmington's First Congregational Church and the Federal- style Congregational Church in Wentworth have been added to the list. St. Francis was built in 1898 for the industrial city's growing Franco-American community. Built in a Norman Gothic Revival style , it's considered the most ambitious church designed by Timothy O'Connell. The Farmington church, which hosts the town clock, was built in the Gothic Revival style and features beautiful stained glass windows . It's the earliest identified commission for architect Frederick Nathaniel Footman . The Wentworth church is a landmark located on the town common and stands out for its prominent three-stage tower.
