Eagle Rock’s Perch apartments opening in 2018

Work has started on a new apartment complex, called Perch, in Eagle Rock, developer LocalConstruct announced today.

LocalConstruct also developed Blackbirds in Echo Park, a collection of 18 small lot homes designed by celebrated local architect Barbara Bestor.

Perch is set to bring 59 apartments (mostly one- and two-bedrooms) to a site at 4247 Eagle Rock Boulevard. The project is expected to be complete in February 2018.

Rental rates for Perch aren’t available yet, but they will be market-rate.

Designed by Ken Stockton Architects, Inc. and Holst Architecture, the complex will feature communal amenities like a pool, barbecue area, fire pit, and electric vehicle charging stations. All apartments will have keyless entry systems, large kitchen islands, and quartz counters. In-unit laundry machines are also standard for each apartment.

The ground floor will have space for a restaurant and cafe.

Slow but steady changes are coming to Eagle Rock Boulevard. Last spring, 38 small-lot houses were proposed at the site of the Phillipine Village commercial building. A 47-unit affordable housing complex is slated for a spot on the busy street, too.
