My husband and I have been living at this eagle rock location for about a year and half now and we haven't had that many issues directly affecting us. This location is ideal, every highway is accessible within a mile radius along with the mall and multiple grocery stores. The exterior of the complex is well maintained, the lawn is always manicured which is nice. That being said, the complaints I do have revolve around maintenance. The laundry room conditions are horrendous, the machines are always breaking down and I found that the detergent doesn't always release into the machine so we resorted to using tide pods. I did the laundry today and found a trail of dead ants by the washing machine, which could have easily been cleaned up by the maintenance crew but it wasn't. It costs two dollars to use the washing machine and another two to use the dryer and you would think that the room would be somewhat maintained but it's far from it. There were bugs flying all over the room, there's mold and moss on the walls, there's no sink so when you accidentally touch the dirty wall or floor there's no where to wash your hands. Apparently other tenants have complained to Roseanne, the leasing manager, about pests issues in their apartments but nothing has been done. The one thing I would recommend is buying an apartment on the second floor. We haven't had any issues with bugs or water leakage and that may be because we're on the second floor. The complex is renovating apartments with brand new appliances and flooring which may be worth the extra money for less of the hassle.

I've lived in Eagle Rock/ Carle Place for about a year now. When my fiancé and I were first looking for places to live, I was very nervous about the reviews I saw on Yelp. To date, I have never seen any cock roaches or rodents. If I ever saw them, I would move out the next day. I'm a complete neat freak and I have no tolerance for that stuff. During the summer, I saw one or two of those little oval bugs with a million legs- but that could happen anywhere you live. All homes get stray bugs in them from time to time. As far as maintenance goes, it isn't the greatest and they aren't the fastest at getting tasks done. You just need to nag them a few times to get something fixed. Nothing urgent has broke in our apartment. Our closet doors fell off the tracks a few times and our windows needed to be re-caulked. In the winter they don't do the greatest job with scraping the ice off the ground. However, winter is such a short time during the year and it isn't a big deal to us. If you lived in a house, the town doesn't scape the streets well either during storms. The location is nothing but amazing. It's close to anything you need and off of a major highway. The complex is very close to Mineola train station and being it's the end of zone 4, it's cheaper to buy a monthly pass if you commute to the city. The way I see it with living in the expensive world we do, it's affordable to live here on most budgets. We won't be living there forever! Nothing really major has gone terribly wrong for us and it's perfect for our needs right now.

I have lived at Eagle Rock in Carle Place for almost two years now. I love my apartment!! I have not had the same experience as some of the other people on here. I've also not had a maintenance issue as of yet, so that could be a reason. There are no bugs aside from the centipedes, which I hate, but they have their season and then they're gone. No roaches or rodents. No crazy smells. Property is kept clean. Neighborhood is quiet. Everything in my apartment works fine. Pacing the shower is tricky, but whatever. I would recommend this apartment, the one where I am in Carle Place, to anyone. And it's very close to everything. The highway, the LIRR, malls, shops, and restaurants, oh and Eisenhower Park, which I love. No complaints here. And it's affordable compared to many other apartments on LI.

Are all eagle rocks owned by same cokpany?

Fairhaven apartments on Long Island has changed their name to Eagle Rock. This review is for Eagle Rock Carle Place. These places are rent controlled, so there are people living here for many years. Do Not live here. We moved here because it looked nice, but the apartment developed a sewage smell coming from the kitchen from inside the walls. All buildings also have roaches. They will send an exterminator, but they are to cheap to do every apartment and all areas of the building, so the roaches will never go away. There was a huge hole in the wall behind our dishwasher leading to the inner building walls where a sewage smell was emanating. The smell is unbearable. They fixed the hole, but the smell remains. They refused to do any other work to fix it. This place will do work orders, but if its anything that's going to cost money, they won't do anything. The laundry machines break and they won't refund your money. They do not return phone calls or emails. Another reviewer noted this. We left over 20 emails about problems. If they don't want to fix it, they simply do not reply to your email or phone call. They won't let you out of the lease, no matter how many problems they won't fix. They know that simple people like us can't afford to be taken to court and get a lawyer. We even offered to give up our deposit. The only reason that this place is still in business is because they're are tons of older people paying low rent because they have been there forever (rent control). No one new ever stays here long. do not live here. Do not live here. Do not live here I wrote this review 10 minutes ago, and now I am adding to it. The heat just went out, and it is 20 degrees. They said someone is working on it. I went down to the basement. No one is working on it. Again DO NOT LIVE HERE.

Where to begin with place? All I can say is DO NOT RENT AND DO NOT LIVE HERE. My boyfriend and I were looking for a cost-effective first apartment to move into while saving. At first glace, things seem okay...the price is fair (for Long Island, that is), and it seems do-able. Boy, were we wrong. First of all, the walls are thin, which is understandable, but to have to hear neighbors overhead who refuse to carpet tapdancing and crashing around upstairs like maniacs consistently every morning starting at 4am....this sucks, but expected. Know what's not tolerable? Disgusting, dirty, unsanitary living conditions that they somehow manage to get away with. The cockroaches....my god the cockroaches. Do they care? Nah, it's old news to them when the entire apartment complex has been complaining to no avail for years. Cockroaches in the shower, in the hallways, dead ones outside, etc. This isn't as bad as the mold spores that grew and hung from our bathroom and shower ceiling for MONTHS after complaints following a flood upstairs frkm us that leaked through. Mushrooms! Mushrooms growing from the bathroom ceiling! I hace asthma and allergies and despite complaints and waiting for the ceiling to be fixed for MONTHS as it leaked (we had buckets set up) for MONTHS?! How is this even allowed? How is this okay? Everything in this apartment is cheap which is expected, but the cheap plastic furniture could not even hold up for the year. Everything is falling apart and to complain is to have it fall on dead ears. The amount of disrespect and lack of care experienced from ALL of Eagle Rock management is a disgrace. I am never one to leave reviews, but signed up solely to warn others TO NOT LIVE HERE. I can tolerate a lot. But the final straw was the mold spores growing from our shower ceiling and the leak that was "repaired". The mold spores are called "inky caps", look them up! Guys, please just avoid this hell hole for the love of baby Jesus himself.

DO NOT MOVE HERE. I have lived here since February of 2013 and since March I have been complaining of roaches in my apt and I am still living in this condition. They won't move me into another apt because they say I will complain there as we'll. The management team is condescending and will not help you if you complain. They have lawyers and will not allow the lease to be broken. Please do your research before before moving here it is unsanitary.
