Great place to live! Love my apartment it's very quiet and the amenities are updated. Maintience is fast at and work order also. Aspen Ridge will be the last apartment i ever live in!
WARNING WARNING! Do not apply to live here. They charged my family $90 in application fees, plus an extra $150 in holding fees. Here's the kicker: The holding fee is non refundable after 72 hours, regardless of whether or not you are approved. That is $240 dollars, before they even let you in the door. Here is what happened to us: They dragged the application process out for twelve days, three of which they did not answer phones or emails at all (I called 15 times). During that process I continued looking for a home, since we had to move out on short notice. When I finally rescinded my application, they informed me that the $150 "holding fee" was non-refundable, regardless of whether or not you are approved. Thus, the application actually costs $240. I find that unreasonable to say the least. I would have considered the property an option for future residence. However if the initial fees are any indication of their modus operandi, then it is safe to say I would rather not risk being in any type of agreement with Aspen Ridge.
I loved living here. Great community. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff at the community.. SADLY I am writing a BAD review.. We moved out last month due to the rent increase. NOT the problem we found something more affordable and where we did NOT have to pay utilities everyone wins.. WELL........ My lease was up 3/19/16 the prior month I went in to the office to be sure I followed all the leases procedures upon leaving.. They had me fill out a 30 day notice (2/19/16) and gave me the prorated amount for March so we were all squared away.. WELL Not so much.. They are keeping my deposit and charging me another $400 on top.. So they are trying to get a total of $700 out of me.. I wont go into complete detail but my correspondence with the company has NOT been anything but a waste of time and the woman handling this refuses to read my emails and answer my questions.. I have finally asked for a supervisor to call me and am awaiting the call.. GREAT COMMUNITY but beware when moving out...
i dont know where to begin!!!! This place has been a nightmare!!! We moved here from California on Sept. 2nd. after leasing a home for 6 yrs. We moved in on a 2 month lease until the escrow closed on our new home closes. The only reason we chose this place was because of the short term lease and they took pets. On the day we signed our lease we told Gigi we'd be out no later than November 1st. My husband offered to write her a written notice at that time giving them a 60 day notice and she just laughed and said "dont worry about it I know your only here short term". We moved out on Oct 27th but turned keys in on Oct 30. We did our walk through and took photos. The apartment was spotless. They said they had to charge $80 for carpet cleaning which they charge everyone. Thats understandable..... well now we've recieved a bill for over $500 owing and they kept our whole deposit along with the whole pet deposit!!!! These people never return calls and ignore any responses via emails.... Dont ever rent from this place they are the biggest rip offs i've ever seen!!! I would have given them zero stars but in order to write this a one star was needed. Im not sure how this place can continue to get by doing this to people and better yet I dont know how they sleep at night......I will never give a referal abiut this place other than bad..... Im so thankful i no lots of people and family here in the area so they can help share our horrible experience with these people.....
Cold..so cold and still waiting for windows that work. Been here almost 1 year and still waiting. Kind of ruins the good aspects..The view and the apt lay out. Who needs to be so cold in the winter?
I am putting in a update on this review because I was appalled by the behavior of the individual in the office that this review was directed towards. I received a call several days after I posted this review from the individual who told me how disappointed in ME she was for my posting the review and that they would not be renting to me in the future. There was no apology for her tardiness or rude behavior just shaming me for calling her out and posting the review. Judging by the more recent reviews looks like I made a very wise decision in not moving here.
I wish I would of read these reviews before I moved in here every bad review here is absolutely true. They raise the rent so high that I can't believe it's legal but apparently it's ok because they keep doing it. Beware if you happen upon these and receive a really good affordable rate to move in just know when your lease is up you'll get a notice 30 days exactly to the date your lease is up. So when you see these crazy high rate increase you will have to either sign for another year still with a rate increase our you'll have to pay at least 500 more for at least another month because you don't have time to give 30 days from the time you receive the notice and your lease date. Maintenance is horrible you would be absolutely amazed at what I went through. I tried it really did!
I have been living at Aspen Ridge since the end of July (2014). Here is my opinion on the place to date (more like 3.5 stars): Pros: 1) The grounds are very well taken care of. Nice, green grass in the summer which I miss around this area since I am originally from MN. 2) The outdoor pool is really nice! I haven't used the indoor pool or Jacuzzi. 3) The Buildings Manager is on top of it. Whenever I have had an issue with my cottage, it has been addressed immediately, and taken care of quickly (of course, depending on the circumstance and what needs fixing). 4) The location is awesome - seems like everything is only 10-15 minutes (both north and south of the complex). 5) There is newer siding and shingles on the buildings which is really nice! Cons: 1) Recycling: I have been asking about a recycling program since I moved in to the complex. The Leasing Office Manager stated that she is working on it, but could take some time. I asked if posters with local recycling (cardboard, cans, bottles, electronics, etc.) for tenants be posted at each garbage drop off site. She asked me to get her the information, which I provided several months ago. Nothing has been posted. There is a recycling center only 5 minutes from us. From the tenants I have spoken with, they would have been using it, if they had known about it. I also suggested that the locations be handed out to new tenants, and to my knowledge this is not being done. 2) Fitness Center: The center consists of two treadmills, an elliptical and a bike and some free weights. I like to have more options and joined a regular gym. I appreciate the easiness of getting to the fitness center at the complex to get a quick work out in, but if you like working out in the mornings, the hours are not conducive to a regular 8-5 job. The hours are 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. I have asked the Leasing Office Manager about having the gym open at 5:00 a.m. and have provided some ideas as to how the gym could be open to tenants. I talked with her a couple of months ago. She said her and the Building Manager had some ideas and would let me know, and the other tenants who have made the same request, what had been decided. I haven't heard anything as of today. 3) Heating: Due to the age of the buildings, it's sometimes difficult to keep the temps steady in my cottage. The brought an HVAC person in to look at it and they determined that my doors have to be open in order for the air to flow, which means my bedroom door, etc. The duct work can't be rerouted or larger duct work put in because of the location of it (in between the walls). This is an irritant of mine because I always keep my bedroom door closed (personal preference) and have never had an issue with this type of thing in prior homes, that were much older, I have lived in. 4) Old Windows: The windows need to be replaced with double pane windows. There is too much heat loss from them. 5) Stainless Steel Appliances: If I decide to extend my lease, I wouldn't request the upgrade to the stainless steel appliances (additional $50/month). The appliances are what I call "faux" stainless (black and stainless steel front). Not worth the additional $600/year. Overall, I like living at Aspen Ridge. I love the location and accessibility to everything. Note that I had kind of a rough move in, which wasn't mentioned here because I felt it was handled okay. I would say my biggest irritant is the lack of response from the Leasing Office Manager. I can email her and call her with no return response until I either email and/or call again. I also don't care for the lack of notifications on events, community news, etc. (there was a toy drive that tenants were notified about - I didn't know about it until it was almost over because I didn't get notice. I learned about it when I visited the office to pick up a package). The Leasing Office Manager said notifications are emailed pretty regularly, which means I am still not on their email list, or they aren't sending notifications (she was going to double check to make sure my email address was on the list), so either no notifications have been sent since mid-December or I'm still not on the list.
We lived at Aspen Ridge for four months while looking to buy a new home. We couldn't have made a better choice! The 2 bedroom town home had a great floor plan and ample closet space. We were on the golf course which was beautiful as well, easy to enjoy from the size able deck as we grilled dinner or enjoyed an evening beverage. Overall the community is chill, not super noisy as some other apartment communities seem to be. The property is well maintained with a variety of landscaping, grass, and well-kept structures. Our town home had been redone appliance-wise and I was continually impressed by the dishwasher and laundry, so efficient! The front office is friendly, Suzanne is fantastic-very professional and calm. To me, apartment living is never perfect or ideal, but I quite enjoyed my Aspen Ridge summer!
This property is a beautiful place to live! Great staff, beautiful grounds and awesome amenities! I have only had a couple of maintenance requests in the past year that I have lived here and they were very quick and responded immediately. You will not be disappointed! Come check them out for yourself!
