Two boys to be charged in vandalism at Gilmour Academy: Gates Mills Police Blotter

GATES MILLS, Ohio

 

Vandalism, Cedar Road:

Police identified two 14-year-old boys Aug. 18 as the suspects in the vandalism of a golf cart at Gilmour Academy the previous week. The boys, of Highland Heights and Mayfield Heights, will be filed on in juvenile court.

General assistance, Hawthorne Farms:

A resident reported Aug. 13 her daughter, 30, had been visiting her home and left upset because of a break-up with her boyfriend. It was later learned the woman had safely returned home to her apartment.

Suspicious person, Mayfield Road:

An officer checked on a man walking near Fox Hill Drive around 3 p.m. Aug. 15. He said he was walking to an apartment in Mayfield Heights and he requested a courtesy ride. It was subsequently learned he had an active warrant out of Willoughby Hills, where he resides. The man, 21, was arrested and turned over to officers from that city.

Traffic stop, Mayfield Road:

Officers stopped a vehicle for erratic driving Aug. 16 and the driver admitted to eating ice cream while driving. It was believed that was the reason for her driving manner. She was given a verbal warning and sent on her way.
