Corpus Christi Police confirmed that a one year old boy is dead following a hit and run at Everhart and Schanen Boulevard.

CCPD says a mother and her three children, one of them in a stroller, were crossing the street when the driver of a truck hit the stroller, killing the child.

The driver did not stop.

Officers are reviewing surveillance video from nearby businesses to try and identify the vehicle.

If the driver is caught, police say that person could be charged with a second degree felony.

The intersection is shut down. Drivers are urged to avoid the area.

Details into Minnetonka officer-involved shooting may not be released for weeks

  The questions haunting relatives and friends of an Austin, Minn., man shot and killed by Minnetonka police may remain unanswered for months. The Hennepin County Sheriff ’s Office is investigating the officer-involved shooting of Michael Tray, 27, in an apartment parking garage on Wednesday, but in similar cases, it’s taken months before details are publicly released. It was the first officer- involved fatal shooting in Minnetonka history and at least the sixth such death statewide so far this year, according to the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
