Vandals Dump Concrete, Break Windows At Washington Heights Construction Site, Police Say

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify three men wanted in connection with a break in at a Washington Heights construction site, police told Patch.

The men entered the site at 40 Pinehurst Ave., located between West 179th and 180th streets, around midnight Saturday, police told Patch. Once inside the site, the men broke a glass window and made a hole in a drywall to enter a secured room, police said.

But the suspects didn't seem interested in stealing construction materials. Instead, the three men opted to pour concrete "all over the floor" before fleeing the site empty handed, police told Patch.

The NYPD released a video showing the three men breaking into to the construction site:

An eight-story, 22,625-square-foot development is currently being constructed at 40 Pinehurst Ave., according to plans filed with the Department of Buildings.
