Three West Michigan apartment communities win top honors in statewide awards

EAST LANSING, MI – Three West Michigan apartment communities won the top prize in their category last week at the Property Manager Association of Michigan’s annual awards ceremony.

Woodland Creek Apartments of Kentwood was named the Best Overall Community in the largest category for communities of more than 451 units.

Waterchase Apartments of Wyoming won the “Best Overall Community” award in the category for communities of more than 301 units.

Timber Ridge Apartments of Wyoming won the top award for communities of more than 151 units.

“It’s such an incredible honor and accomplishment,” said Sandi Phillips, Woodland Creek’s Community Manager in a press release.

“We all love this community. We also realize we have a responsibility to our residents who make Woodland Creek their home, and we will continue to offer the best service to them,” Phillips said.

Woodland Creek’s leasing team also took home the award for Outstanding Leasing Team of the Year for the second straight year, and one employee– Tim Boelman – took home Outstanding Leasing Consultant of the Year.

“I’m so very proud of Tim and the entire Woodland Creek leasing team,” Phillips said. “They are consummate professionals and truly nice people who love doing what they do.”

  • Maintenance Supervisor of the Year: Dennis Kennedy, Waterchase Apartments, Wyoming
  • Maintenance Person of the Year (301-450 units) Jeremy Anderson, Waterchase Apartments
  • Best Renovated Community: Waterchase Apartments
  • Outstanding Maintenance Team of the Year (151-300 units) 48West of Allendale.
  • Leasing Person of the Year (301-450 units) Larry Vanweelden, Oxford Place Apartments
  • Oustanding Groundskeeper of the Year: John Murphy, Wyndham Hill
  • Best Decorated Model (301-450 units) Oxford Place Apartments
  • Best Decorated Model (151-300 units) 48West
  • Best Overall Marketing Theme (151-300 units) 48West
