Waterchase Apartments - Apartments - 401 Rosery Rd NE, Largo, FL - Phone Number
First off, I want to say I really like my apartment. I've been here about one month. I'm on a 15 month lease (cheaper than 12). I have a one bedroom apartment. The pricing is affordable. Couple of things to keep in mind if your looking for a one bedroom, and I am talking only about my own experiences. First, the staff upfront are nice. I did have an issue with my a/c unit over a weekend and in the evening, and I called the number and maintenance came right away and fixed the issue without a hitch (thank you!). Packages can be dropped off at front office and picked up. I found very few bugs, and I contacted the office to spray the apartment. Unfortunately, they don't have a plan to routinely pest spray the apartments, and you have to request to be put on the list (of which the service is available weekly). My unit does not have a washer/dryer (nor hookup), and there are decent laundry facilities, but no machines to give you change, and the machines don't take credit card. Wash is 1.75 and dry is 1.50, and washing machines are top load, and dryers are front load. My unit had the walls painted that light beige color (not all white) and my baseboards are nice (about 6 inches in height). Ceilings in my apartment are like splattered texture (not popcorn). My apartment has no ceiling fans. Due to having a front window only and the sliding glass door to the porch outside the bedroom, it's hard to get air to ventilate/circulate through the apartment. The only ceiling light there are are over the dining area and in the kitchen. There is 1 outlet in the living area and 1 in the bedroom connected automatically to the switch. There's no garbage disposal under the kitchen sink and the faucet does not have the handheld sprayer. I might just have to get my own faucet installed with that capability and revert it back when I move out (no big deal). I had to change the shower head (bought one from Walmart) and will revert back when I move out. The bathroom is tiny, as there is only a single sink, with a medicine cabinet that sticks out from the wall. Then the standard toilet (not oblong), then the standard shower. I had to buy a shower caddy to hook over the shower head since there is no space really along the tub to place toiletries... There is no outside storage space out on the porch. I will have to purchase a portable storage unit that will fit on the porch (from Lowes or Home Depot). There is carpeting on the porch. You do have the ability to have neutral colored curtains to hang up on the porch for privacy (I asked) and do see some of the neighbors doing so (which is nice for extra privacy, remember there is only one window in the front of the apartment so leaving the back sliding door open for circulation is needed, hence needing the additional privacy option with outside curtains). The porch is spacious too (leaving me to wonder why not the hard built in storage?). The gym is fantastic! Reminds me of the gym at YouFit. Multiple treadmills and bikes and weights available to tenants. Televisions too. You need your key card for entrance and available 24/7. I'm excited to begin using it! There is a gate, and you need your key card to enter. Has not worked since I've been here and I take it that it does not work the majority of the time. No big deal for me. The price of my rent is good and I don't believe it worth walking away from because of the front gate not working. The make-up of the community seems to be mixed, and of various ages. I like that the variety - it doesn't feel like a retirement community. Lots of people with dogs- there's a dog park. Seems that people clean after themselves- I don't smell odors. At least not in my area. Parking is ample. I don't park under the trees because of the ever falling acorns!! These buildings seem to be made of concrete walls. I don't hear my neighbors through the walls. But can hear everything when my front window and sliding glass doors are open. Also if people are talking right outside my door, I can hear the conversation clearly, even with my window closed- which means if someone is standing right outside my front window or door, they can hear everything going on in my apartment. I have not gotten my first electric bill yet. But I have not really had to use my a/c that much as the temp outside remains comfortable. I have had to use my heat because of the cold weather. I open my window and sliding door sometimes so the air can circulate and am comfortable so far. I'm sure that will change when the summer gets here! The water billing is based on the number of people on your lease. It's not based on usage. So in essence it looks like your water bill will be based on the entire community water usage and a formula is used to determine your share of payment. It will get tacked on to your rent. There is a monthly trash and sewer fee which is negligible. That is also tacked on to your rent. Overall 4 stars. Will update review- I have been here only one month.
The people here are nice but the apartment complex itself is .......2* I have lived here for over a year, there are few things i see - The A/C is so dusty ... I bet they never clean the AC. I change my AC filter every month and my apartment is dusty as fck even though I vacuum, mop the floor, and clean all the furniture every week. - Things started to broken here and there. Before moving in, the door that cover the AC had been broken. Never been fixed!!! The dishwasher doesn't drain, filled with sewer water. - The gate were supposed to be fixed in few months after we moved in. Still almost 2 years later, it's still NOT working. (There was a guy who parked his car in the apartment complex parking and climbed over the fence tried to steal at the neighbor next door... He dropped his car key and got arrested....) - The PRICE went up (last price+200) after our last lease ended. ...
