Ryan Eichensehr's snapped photos of his apartment covered in insulation, along with a significant chunk of the ceiling.

He shared photos he took before the ceiling came crashing down, photos he claimed to have shared with property management at District on Baldwin Park.

"(I) went to the office, verbally told them, 'Hey, I think you guys really need to take a look at this,' and then followed up with an email, sending them pictures, of a crack going the whole length of the wall," Eichensehr said.

Eichensehr said he was astonished when he walked in the front door and everything that should have been securely nailed up, had crashed.

The property manager told WESH 2 News she didn't learn of the crack until Monday.

Since the ceiling didn't show any signs of water damage, the job was placed on the regular repair schedule.

The sections came down hours later.
