Carla is the best property manager I've ever had, no joke! I've lived in 3 different apartment complexes the last few years, and she has been the most attentive, kind and helpful. The downsides of this place are the washers and dryers. They eat my money often, but I call Carla to let her know and she gives me my quarters back the next day! The carpet in the hall is also pretty old and not too attractive, but they say they are going to replace it once the dogs (existing dogs were grandfathered in, they no longer accept dogs) are no longer on the property. Who knows. The apartment, itself, has been pretty great. Nice carpet, huge rooms, good sized bathrooms, and nice walk in closet in the master. The appliances are kinda old, but they work just fine. The neighbors get kinda loud at times and I admit, I get pretty annoyed at that. There's not much anyone can do though. Some of the noise comes from the other apartment complex, so it's just something that comes with apartment life, I guess. They are, unfortunately, increasing rent due to supply and demand, and other external factors are causing me to move out. I will really miss this place and Carla. It's been a great experience over all, and I wish I could stay!
Lived here for 2 years, first moved in when Carla was still the manager everything then was good if we had any problems we would give her a call and everything would be fixed. We renewed our lease but then management changed and things stared going down hill from there. Fire alarms would be going off randomly in the middle of the day, night etc. The fire department had to come one of the days to shut the alarms off and they even said the system needs to be changed because it is so outdated. The hot tub is to the temperature of bath water, the laundry facility is the worst, the dryers never worked so sometimes you had to run your clothes 3-4 times (WASTE OF QUARTERS!!!). We finally just moved out Monday and we had made an appointment with the manager to do a last full walk through to see what needs to be repaired etc. SHE NEVER SHOWED UP AND SHE WAS IN THE BUILDING PRIOR TO THE TIME WE HAD SET. I saw her putting up signs on the doors a few hours before as we were moving the last of our boxes. We waited no show... Are we even going to receive our deposit back? WHO KNOWS? Will we ever reschedule the walk through ? or will she not show up again?
Moved here about a month ago and it's infested with roaches since day one... Parking spaces are horrible.... Parked in what I thought was guest parking because my car was hard to get into space at the moment and no numbers were on any of the spaces by pool so that's where I parked.... I come out and tow truck has my car on, the property manager standing there and blatantly says she thought it was my car but saw my space was open so didn't think was mine, well if you thought it was my car fucking call and find out before having towed, common courtesy! I was charged $89 to get off.... She was so rude and claiming I knew no guest parking but I honestly thought it was guest and she didn't give a shit ... Just said "I gotta go"! I absolutely hate it here! If I could give zero stars I would!
Great property owner, she answers very promptly. Rents easily paid online. I recommend finding a laundromat to wash clothes in, never an open washer or dryer (I go to u-city coin wash it's amazinggg) The apartment is nice, really nice actually, the no AC sucks but you can buy a portable unit! (Cheaper electric then central AC) The only fault is the neghborhood. Might just be because I'm from the suburbs but lets just say I don't walk to my car alone at night And the apartment complex is not locked... There is a gate.. But it does not lock,,, that really concerns me. Oh and downfall only one parking spot per unit.... Dumb.
Carla is an awesome property manager. I was very nervous about moving in to Mesa Ridge Apartments because of some of the reviews like the one below from Jennifer K. But I have to say because of the new property manager (Carla) my nervousness has subsided. There had been a couple of things I didn't feel comfortable about with my unit and she resolved them all. She's very professional. She'll do follow-up calls until the issue is resolved. She seems to have your best interest in mind; which is important to me because I can't say that about the majority of my past property managers. All-in-all this is a good place to live for the price. Do your research on rental prices in this town and you'll know what I mean.
NOTE: This is the THIRD time I'm posting this review. Good thing I saved it on my computer. First of all I find it rude that this place deleted my previous review just because they probably didn't like it! If they delete this one I will just put in ANOTHER review and I will put this review on all other reviewing sites as well! People deserve to know the TRUTH! The manager does not live on site and is never there. The maintenance guy supposedly lives on site but also services like 2-3 other complexes so when there's a maintenance problem you are always told by the manager after like 2-3 days of trying to report it that you're just not a priority because he services more than 1 complex. There are major NOISE PROBLEMS. People who live there just don't give a damn. Calling the police and complaining to the manager multiple times just doesn't do anything. They just tell you that they will talk to the people making the noise each time but nothing changes. Especially during the summer people are partying in the pool area even after hours and there is no security to make sure it is locked up. We were also accused THREE TIMES of not paying rent because one time the manager misplaced our check and the other 2 times it was applied to the wrong apartment!!! Instead of realizing it was a mistake or even looking into it they just assume we didn't pay it and accuse us! We also seem to have an ant problem in our apartment and this one hallway smells like shit and piss all the time! It makes me wonder if homeless people are sleeping there at night or if the neighbors in that hallway are just THAT BAD! There are also only like 4-5 washers and dryers and people hog them all the time! And half of the dryers are broken and don't dry your clothes completely so you have to pay even more money to get them dried!
