Man shot in head at Regency Square Apartments

AUGUSTA, Ga.---The search is on for a murderer after a man was found shot to death in his car.

Investigators were called to the Regency Square Apartments off Deans Bridge Road in south Augusta at around 4 o'clock this afternoon.

29-year-old Tollie Mitchell was found shot in the head inside his black Honda Accord on the 2600 block of Thomas Lane.

K-9 units searched the woods beyond the apartments shortly after investigators arrived.

The sheriff's office is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible for Mitchell's death. Anyone with information is asked to call 706-821-1080. You can remain anonymous.
