When officers went inside the building, they discovered Johnson and Work each lying on the floor with gunshot wounds. Both were transported to Hurley Medical Center in Flint where Johnson was pronounced dead and Work was put on life support system. Work was pregnant and doctors were able to deliver her baby prematurely.
Tyson, who was a resident of Grand Oaks Apartments, is charged with first degree premeditated murder, assault with intent to murder, and two counts of felony firearm. She is lodged in the Genesee County jail. She was arraigned on the charges Friday morning in 67th District Court.
