Attempted Burglary At Farmington Hills Apartments « CBS Detroit

FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) – Police in Farmington Hills are warning residents of the Windemere Apartment complex to be wary, after one tenant came face to face with a man who broke into his apartment.

Police say the burglary attempt occurred in the early morning hours Saturday, when a suspect cut the window screen of the apartment and entered through an open window. The homeowner was confronted by the suspect, at which time the suspect fled the apartment.

The suspect is described as a black male, medium build, in his early 30’s, dressed in all black clothing and a black knit cap.

Residents are asked to call the Farmington Hills Police Department at 248-871-2610 with any information they may have regarding this matter.

The Farmington Hills Police Department offers the following crime prevention tips:

• Secure doors and windows when possible, whether home or not.

• Stay alert to all suspicious person and activities occurring in your neighborhood and call 9-1-1 whenever you observe such activity.
