FARMINGTON HILLS Police investigate rash of break-ins at Independence Green and Muirwood apartments Several reports of home invasions in Farmington Hills had police investigating break -ins at the Independence Green and Muirwood apartment complexes . The suspects entered the apartments sometime between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday, police said. They were able to break into the unoccupied apartments by prying sliding glass doors open , police said. The Independence Green apartment complex is off Halsted Road near Grand River Avenue , and Muirwood Apartments is in the area of Drake Road and Grand River Avenue . The Farmington Hills Police Department Crime Prevention unit cautions residents to lock all doors and windows -- even if someone is home, to secure sliding doors with track bars or locking devices and to stay alert for suspicious activity in the area. UPDATE: 8.14/2017 2:10 p.m. – Jackson Police questioned and released a suspect in connection to the disappearance of Knight. The search continues for “Mike.”  We’re told officers are still searching for the 17-year-old who drove away with Knight from Will-O-Wood Blvd. That 17-year-old goes by “Mike.” As soon as Jackson Police release more information, we will let you know. Franklin Park Robbery •A woman had money stolen when she attempted to purchase an iPhone 6, police said. The woman's daughter had found an iPhone for sale for $200 and contacted the seller about purchasing it. Initially, the seller wanted the woman's daughter to meet at an apartment in the 10500 block of Crown Road to exchange money for the phone. However, after messages were exchanged, the woman told the seller she'd meet him at a Sonic restaurant at 10440 Grand Ave. On Aug. 12, the woman entered the Sonic around 5:39 p.m. and met the man. Once the phone was presented, the woman negotiated the price down to $120 due to its condition. When she pulled six $20 bills out of her purse, the man "grabbed the money in her hand and a struggle ensued over the cash," according to the police report. The man...

Dallas police are investigating whether a suspected armed carjacker is responsible for other crimes in a North Dallas neighborhood this month. Police arrested 21-year-old Zamondre Brown , but his alleged accomplice is still on the run. There have been more than a half- dozen armed robberies and carjackings near Interstate 635 and Skillman Road in recent weeks. Police said Brown and his accomplice pulled guns on a man at the Waterchase Apartments in the 12300 block of Plano Road and forced him to empty his pockets at gunpoint. They, then stole his red Toyota vehicle , police said. Officers later spotted the stolen car and engaged in a brief pursuit, but the car crashed at 12100 Audelia Road. Brown faces multiple charges , including aggravated robbery , but police still want to know if he is responsible for other robberies in that area this year. BARCELONA, Spain — The Latest on the Spain attacks (all times local): 5:15 a.m. Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has asked people to pray for a young Australian boy who is missing after a vehicle attack on a popular Barcelona promenade that killed 13 people. Turnbull said Saturday that the boy's mother was badly injured and is in a hospital following Friday's attack at the Las Ramblas promenade . Turnbull says the boy's family is searching for him. He did not release the boy's name. Turnbull says: "All of us as parents know the anguish his father is going through, and his whole family is going through, as they rush to seek to find him in Barcelona."
