MURFREESBORO, TN (WSMV) - A suspect has been arrested and the victim identified following a murder early Tuesday at a Murfreesboro apartment complex . Christopher Turley, 23, was found shot to death about 5 a.m. at the Stonewood Apartments at 810 East Clark Boulevard . Police said 22-year-old Anthony P. Smith, of Christiana, was later arrested and booked at the Rutherford County Sheriff 's Office on a charge of first-degree murder. His bond was set at $500,000, and he is due in court April 24. A motive in the shooting has not been released. "We believe the center of the shooting occurred at the D building, whether that was inside or outside is still being looked into," said Murfreesboro police spokesman Sgt . Kyle Evans. Neighbors say Turley was shot multiple times , including possibly in the head. "We do believe we found the gun used in the fatal shooting," Evans said. ANDERSON CO., S.C. (WSPA) – A man is dead after a stabbing that happened on Robinson Street in Pendleton. The stabbing happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. The victim has been identified as 49-year-old Charles Hillery of New York. Hillery was pronounced dead at the scene at about 2:52 a.m., the coroner’s office says. The Anderson County Sheriff ’s Office is actively investigating. Hillery and an unknown subject got into an altercation in front of a home in the 200 block of Robinson Street, according to an incident report from the Anderson County Sheriff ’s Office. A deputy found Hillery unconscious and lying on his back in the living room with injuries to his chest and head. The Anderson County Sheriff ’s Office announced Wednesday that four people have been charged with murder and criminal conspiracy, and a juvenile is sought in connection to Hillery’s stabbing death.
