GHAZIABAD: The National Green Tribunal (NGT), while hearing a contempt plea filed by an RWA body on the issue of pollution in Kaushambi, has declined to give the district administration and other civic bodies time for the compliance of its earlier order. Taking a stern view on the March 21 report by an expert committee stating that none of its recommendations have been complied with to check pollution in the township, the green body will hold another hearing on 29 August. "We filed a petition with the NGT two years ago, and it had formed a committee to trace the source of pollution in the township, which recommended measures to curb pollution," said Vinay Kumar Mittal , president of Kaushambi Apartment Residents ' Welfare Association (KARWA).
